#Stayhome – everybody posts. Many people are now working from home office, so having a pleasant atmosphere at home has become more important than ever. Hence, we decided to provide you with some tips on how to cheer your home up and make it more bearable. Even if you live in a rented apartment, there are plenty of options and tools at your disposal to personalize your home to your taste. No major reconstruction needed; with just a few small practices you can make big changes. Let’s see what they are!
Replace the textiles!
The first step with which you can achieve significant results is the textiles. Even if you consider the basic furnishing of your home permanent, and only change the textiles according to the season, you can make a difference as if it’s a completely different interior. Spring is coming, meaning that nature starts to shine in so many colors and it’s your time to slip into the shades of the season. If you can’t go into nature, bring it to your living space! You’re guaranteed to feel better.
Cushions
Use a lot of decorative pillows, which can really cheer up your otherwise boring sofa, armchair or bed, and turn your environment into a comfortable and inviting one.
How can you achieve the best overall impact? Here are some tips:

- Combine solid color and patterned ones! This will make the patterns bolder and “jazzier”.
- Use a pattern that is already present in the apartment, similar patterned pillows help in achieving harmony.
- Vary the size and shape of the pillows! There are many different sizes and shapes to choose from that will fit perfectly next to each other. You can make your couch a little playful by using rectangular, square and round pieces side by side, each of which may be made from different materials. It can be from linen; it can be knit and elegant velvet is inviting as well.
Use lightweight materials!
It is worth replacing thick, heavy, winter materials with fresh, lighter varieties. A fine woven linen blanket gives a completely different feeling, as it is lighter it gives you more space. Now that the weather is getting warmer, soft, long hair carpets should be replaced by their flat and woven counterparts.
A variety of products is still available through web shops and we know from experience that home delivery hasn’t stopped either. Don’t delay and get some new ones!
Decorate the walls!
The next small step is to boost the atmosphere of your apartment by way of wall decoration. Hang pictures on the wall or rearrange the old ones! You can create many nice moments in the lockdown if you decorate the apartment with pictures of loved ones, places or memories. Sort through those photos and you’ll surely find something among them that puts a smile on your face. And if you want a neutral effect, you can choose from the endless selection of prints available on different websites.
Here are some tips to help you get organized:

- If you have only 2 or 3 pictures of the same size, you should try a symmetrical arrangement; you can easily try asymmetry in case of several pictures. Only imagination sets the limit.
- Always put the largest picture in the middle and arrange the smaller ones around.
- You do not have to nail them to the wall. If you are renting and don’t want the apartment to look like an Emmental cheese when returned, place them on a shelf. They even look great when covering each other partly.
- If you don’t know where to place bigger pictures, you can put them next to the wall on the top of a drawer or put them directly on the floor beside the bed. Be daring!
Decorate with plants!

Not only does it lift your spirit, it even contributes to the air quality. Place them in important parts of your home, keeping in mind the light requirements of the plant of course, and you’ll see that they make your everyday life lovely. An additional advantage is that you can get decorative pots for them, which you can also combine endlessly.
Does your apartment have a balcony? What else do you need?

Fill it with plants, hang mood lighting, put outside a table, chairs, or even just spread out a carpet and put pillows on it to achieve a lovable and bohemian effect. Imagine in the evening, what a great feeling it will be to sit out with a glass of wine and Enjoy the silence.
