We love to help, and we love it even more when our help goes to a place that really needs it. In early September, Flatco has donated a huge amount of used tarp signs to the Befogad-LAK Animal Rescue Foundation. The tarpaulins in the shelter are reused as insulation material, so the living spaces of the dogs which are waiting to get adopted will get warmer in the winter by a few degrees.
We asked our tenants, and they voted: we gave the retired PVC and MESH tarpaulins to the Erdu0151kertesi Foundation, which has been working hard for many years, to recycle them in an unusual but ingenious way. The more than a dozen tarpaulins – carefully cut in different sizes – will be placed on the shelters of the four-legged residents as insolation!
Our shipment, which makes up the floor area of u200bu200ban apartment in square meters, consisted of the following pieces:
- 3 pieces, 3×0.9 meters,
- 1 piece, 2.2×0.9 meters, respectively
- 3 x 2×1.5 meter PVC molines, also
- 2 pieces, 950×950 centimeters,
- 2 pieces, 970×290 centimeters,
- 1 piece, 780×290 centimeters,
- 1 piece, 1050×290 centimeters, and
- 1 880×290 cm MESH moline

We have been monitoring the work of the Befogad-LAK Animal Rescue Foundation for a long time now, so we were really happy when our residents voted that the donation should go to Gabiu2019s place. So, our colleagues got into the car and visited the happy tail-wagging but barking-loud dog home.
The primary goal of the foundation is to promote animal safety, in particular, to emphasize the importance of neutering and to educate responsible animal ownership. The enthusiastic, dedicated team is also involved in finding the owner for stray, unchipped dogs – itu2019s best for everyone if the lost puppy gets back to its loving owner. If this is not successful, i.e. there is no way to find the owner, the dog is taken into foster care, taken to the vet, and then they will be looking for a new, permanent home for the dog.
